Well hello there.
Well hello there.
An INFP (Introverted iNtuitive Feeler Perceiver) is one of the sixteen personality types characterized by the Myers-Briggs model. Also know as "The Mediator", INFPs are often sensitive and empathetic individuals who typically see the good in just about everyone. They are also creative and loyal, caring immensely for those closest to them.
On the contrary, INFPs can also be hyper-sensitive, moody, and critical of themselves; INFPs often have difficulty expressing these deep emotions and tend to feel misunderstood. It can also be difficult for INFPs to set healthy boundaries in relationships and advocate for themselves because they are ultimate "people pleasers".
As an INFP, I have personally experienced all of the struggles and set-backs that come with my unique personality type.
When I was younger, I struggled immensely with feeling "different", but I could never quite recognize why. Thankfully, when I was around eighteen, my dad discovered the Meyers-Briggs Personality Test and encouraged me to take it online, hoping it would help me to better understand myself. Ever since seeing the result "INFP" pop up on my computer screen, I've been able to discover more about myself than I ever thought possible. I've learned to accept the unique qualities that make me who I am and no longer make apologies for them. I now know how to practice self-love while always striving for personal growth.
My hope for this blog is that everyone who reads it will feel empowered to lead unapologetic lives and embrace who they truly are. It is also my goal that by sharing my own vulnerable life stories, readers will feel free to share their stories as well.
